Our story

We are Maicol and Maria, an adventurous and dynamic couple always looking for new projects. After several travels to lands far away like Australia, New Zealand, Philipines and Indonesia we decided that it was time to make true an idea that we had in our minds for a while: open our own bar and start our gin business.

Lake Garda made us fall in love with its stunning landscape and sunsets, and it was exactly here in Bardolino when, in November 2020, the door of our Lacus Bubbles&Gin opened for the first time.

Lacus Spirits saw the light in February 2022 with the launch of Lacus Bardolino Dry Gin, our first label. A year after, in February 2023, the stronger versión came: Lacus Navy Strength. In 2024 instead, we were looking for something else, something different: we came up with a “distilled botanical spirit”, the first one with these characteristics in Italy, named “Tre Venti” to underline its freshness and lightness. The latter is in fact perfect for those who aim at the same taste of a proper gin but with less abv.

The bar

Lacus Bubbles&Gin was born on November 15, 2020. Recognized and sought after for our variety of gins, cocktails and sparkling wines, it attracts many people from every corner of Europe who pass through Bardolino. Obviously there is an excellent selection of red and white wines and tapas. The cocktails together with the large choice of gins we offer represent our strong point. Here you will find an innovative drinks menu, from the most particular to the great classics. All made in-house by us to offer the best experience to our guests.
